Information Architecture
The Process.  Information Architecture is the process (artform) of organizing your website and digital media on the web to insure optimum results.

With more than a decade of experience creating dynamic web projects, we have had plenty of practice perfecting our development process.  It has ultimately been determined that the only way to achieve the desired end result is through careful consideration from the get-go!  This is why we have tuned our development process to perfection.

The basis of the process is our Web Development Proposal.  Our proposal outlines Methodology, Site Objectives, Information Architecture, Interactivity, Optimization, Competitive Advantages, Development Process and much more through constant collaboration between our team and yours. Our development process includes:

  1. Initial Discovery and Consultation
During step one of the web design process, we will discuss your requirements and target audience to determine the objectives of your website. What are your lead generation expectations? Is this an online tool for your clients? How will we engage your prospects to compel them make a inquiry? All these answers determine the goals of your Internet presence?
  2. Research and Architecture
In this step of the web design process, we will research your target market and competition. We need to determine how your amenities, products and/or services will be made available to the web site visitors – what is the path of least resistance from new your website to making a reservation. Several elements are incorporated into this part of the process to determine outcome.  Several of these include:
    • Site Map - This will show an overall picture of the page layout on your site and how they will relate to each other.
    • Wireframe - We will build an illustrated map of your website structure so that we can determine both the needed technology and site usability.
    • Milestones- This is a rough draft of your wesite with certain functionality installed that allows you to click-through and interact with the pages.  This allows us to remedy roadblocks prior to the final development process.
    • Design Preference - We look at your current website, if available, your competition and suggested websites to produce an overall design theme for your new website.
    • Component Integration Process - Many websites require integration of shopping carts, knowledge management systems, customer relation centers etc.  This step allows us to follow the flow of information so as not to incur flow-abandonment.
  3. Content Creation and Initial Design
In step three, we develop the graphics and initial design for the site. We will discuss with you what text and graphics need to be provided for the web site and setup a time line for asset acquisition. This will tell us where we need more copy, images or information for the site. Once you are satisfied with the direction of the project, we will complete the graphical elements, and produce additional keyword rich web copy, graphic design or animated flash elements for the site.
  4. Dynamic Development and Integration
The amount of dynamic content needed varies from site to site. Email acquisition, dynamic news content, and additional programming may be integrated in this step. All features will be built and thoroughly tested before deployment.
  5. Pre-Launch Evaluation
After the site is built, our team and yours will have complete access to all content to be sure everything is exactly as anticipated. You may submit any desired changes to the copy and navigational structure prior to final approval before the site is launched.
  6. Site Launch
After you give the go ahead, and we receive final payment, your new web site will be published to the web.
  7. Marketing and Ongoing Support Options
The initial project is complete and we're up and running. At this point, we will address the importance of keeping your site fresh and current in terms of graphics, navigation, technology and usability. We will work with you to establish a regular review and maintenance schedule for your web site to accommodate client requests, user feedback, system upgrades and emerging web technologies. We will also discuss our marketing services for getting the word out on your web site.
